William Ariss helps individuals and institutions find art they like that can grow in value over time and assists in acquiring and one day selling. Will’s focus is on established artists and emerging contemporary artists. He also advises organisations in the art ecosystem. He most recently advised the CEO of MoonStar Fine Arts Advisory, Miami, on strategy, content and partnerships.
Over 5+ years at Sotheby’s, Will worked in client strategy, contemporary art, the fiduciary client group and digital sales. Prior to leaving, he led a technology unit which effectively drove the digital and data transformation of the firm. Over the last years, Will has helped buy and sell at auction major artworks from both first time buyers and prominent collectors.
Prior to joining Sotheby’s in 2019, he worked at CRG Gallery, New York, Christie’s, London and the brand and design consultancy Pentagram, London.
Will hold degrees from the London School of Economics & Political Science and the Royal College of Art.
